Roe Deer Watch Wooton Bridge Car Park 0615am to 0830am
- Join New Forest Keeper Marten Ledeboer as he leads this search
for the elusive roe deer living on his beat. Bring binoculars,
if you have them (limited number provided). Roe deer appearances

Fun Day New Forest Reptiel Centre 1030am - 3pm - Celebrate
the Spring opening of the New Forest Reptile Centre and its 'Aren't
Birds Brilliant' live nest cam. Craft and painting fun for all
the family, with games and a trail. All ages £1 per person
Thu 9 April 09 - Easter Bonnet Parade - The
Furlong Centre Ringwood 1030am - This year this children's event
sponsored by the Furlong Centre will be on an Easter Maundy Thursday.
This is a competition for the best Easter Bonnets and Easter bunny
costumes. Children are judged in three age group categories for
best bonnets and bunnies. They will win an Easter egg, and some
vouchers. All entrants get a small chocolate gift. After the judging
of the hats and bunnies the entrants are invited to climb aboard
some vintage cars or a farm wagon to parade around the town.
Children are invited into the Furlong at 10.30a.m for a magic
show. The judging is about 11 am and the parade starts at 12noon.

Sat 11 April 09 - Burley Bumblings - a wildlife walk
- A New Forest walk that takes in many varied habitats and some
wonderful scenery. Length of walk: Medium/Long, about 6km on ground
with some undulations.What to bring: Binoculars if you have them.

Sat 11 - Mon 13 April 09 - Easter at Exbury 10am
to 1700 Easter is a wonderful time at Ebury with a beautiful 'cloth
of gold' Daffodil Meadow leading down to the Beaulieu River. There
are surprises in store on the Railway - who will spot the Easter
Bunnies hiding in the woods? Fun Garden Trails for children and
colouring competitions with prizes. An Easter treat and fun for
all the family! Price included withn Gardens Adnission Price.
Train rides are extra £3.50 per person, unders 3's free.

Tues 14 April 09- Forestry Commission Child of the Wild
- Anderwood Car Park 10-12noon - Do you want to play
wild in the woods and discover hidden treasures? This morning
of fun hands on activities and challenges will really stimlulate
your senses. Be prepared to get messy! Suitalbe for 5-10yrs. Children
must be accompanied by no more than two adults £4 per child.

Activity Week - Bolderwood 11am - 4pm - Learn about the
forest at this exciting time of year. Come along to Bolderwood
and have a go at the fun Easter time activities in the forest.

Wed 15 April 09 - Forestry Commission Buggy Walk
- Wilverley Car Park 1030 - 1230pm - Have some fun in the forest
with lots of activities included. This event is designed for children
in buggies and toddlers. The route will follow gravel tracks or
robust grass paths, with no steep slopes and cvoer a short distance.
Please bring a snack or picnic. Stop for 20 minutes about half
way round. Wear suitable clothing waterproofs and wellies. Most
suitable for 5 and under. Children must be accompanied by no more

Tues 21 April 09 - Forestry Commission A Journey Through
the Ages - Appleslade car park - 10am to 130pm - Join
a volunteer ranger to travel through time and learn how life has
changed for people living within the forest. We will begin with
Stone Age man, through the Bronze age, the Romans, Normans, Tudors
and end with World War II. We will be walking about 7 miles during

Saturday 25 April 09 - Forestry Commission Hardcore Hike
- Hatchet Pond Car Park - Get your heart pumping and
blood flowing as you stride out across the forest. Wear your walking
boots and dress for the elements - you will be exploring part
of the forest that other walks can't reach. You will need to be
reasonably fit for these events a sthe hike will be over 8 miles
and could be hilly. Bring a packed lunch. 16+ yrs £6 per

Tues 28 April 09 - Forestry Commission Guardians of the
New Forest - Verderers Hall, adjacent ot the Queens House,
Lyndhurst - Join Robert Colin Stokes for an insight ot the role
of a New Forest Keeper and the importance of his job in helping
to look after this speacial environment. Discover the skills and
experience necessary to assist with habitat and species management.
Discover the real secrets of the forest and its wildlife from
those that know. Cushioned benches are available on a first come
