We have been coming to Twin for over ten years, approx 18 visits! It is our opportunity to relax in an environment that caters for us all! The mix of forest and beaches plus a luxurious home base is perfect. Thanks again Amanda for the warm welcome and hard work you’ve had to put in in order to allow guests to return post Covid lockdown.

Another brilliant stay at Twin Cottage & our first escape in the Covid-19 world. Amanda has done a brilliant job adapting the cottage to meet new safety and cleanliness standards whilst ensuring it keeps its charm and that there are plenty of toys & fun things for the children to do (toys are rotated every stay to keep guests safe). It’s a beautiful cottage with a lovely garden, with everything you need to feel at home, bake, cook, BBQ & for the children to have a magical time spotting ponies in the New Forest whilst you have a glass of vino from the local Shappen Stores! Can’t wait to return!
What a perfect escape.. We had the most wonderful few days. Our 3 year old casper LOVED the toys and settled into ‘his’ bedroom perfectly on night one 🙂 Thank you for the wonderful touches and incredible attention to detail – i am taking some tips home with me for London like the lovely kids bath collection.

Wonderful place to stay with young children. The cottage has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a holiday with kids. All the equipment you could think of and tons of toys and books. My husband and I spent a week there with our 1 year old and 3 year old, and had the most relaxing and fun time. The kids were delighted with all the toys and it meant we could actually sit back and relax. The garden is also excellent with lots of toys for the kids. We hired bikes too which was so much fun as you are literally in the middle of the new forest with beautiful bike trails nearby. The house is fairly compact but very comfortable. The master bed is super comfy with luxury bed linen and nice towels, and the kids room so sweetly decorated (and comfortable too). There is a big bathroom with high quality fittings and there were lots of REN and Childs Farm products for us to use. There was a bread maker in the kitchen too which we enjoyed using, and there is a fantastic local butchers/grocery store which was very convenient. We can’t wait to return!
“Greeted by a dining table decked with gorgeous flowers, a generous welcome basket & the aroma of freshly baked bread, we felt at home at once, and were most impressed with the little touches added by owner Amanda, such as a box full of clean baby toys in the play room off the kitchen; sterliser & baby monitor; plug in night light, great selection of games, books, DVD’s & CD’s to appeal to all ages; even bath toys. I was most inspired by the bread maker – ingredients supplied of course. The decor is the height of good taste, all heritage hues & good quality furniture, and with a wood burner in the dining room and lounge, its wonderfully cosy. With only 2 bedrooms its not the largest house around, but offers the perfect introduction to family holidays for nervous new parents. Plenty to see, from New Forest towns such as Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst to Beaulieu and coastal towns such as Lymington it makes a great base”Â
